Products:

The main product of the Company is ORDINARY PORTLAND CEMENT (OPC) but in addition to this ACPL also produces SULPHATE RESISTANT CEMENT (SRC) and PORTLAND BLAST FURNACE CEMENT (PBFC), which sells under the registered brand name of “FALCON CEMENT” in the market. The SRC is special cement, which is resistant to attack of sulphate salts, which are present in the soil in the coastal and other saline areas. The PBFC is also mildly resistant to sulphate attack, but its important characteristics is low heat of hydration. It is used where massive concrete is involved.

 
 

Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC):

Complies not only Pakistan Standard [PS -232/2008 (R)] but also surpasses the British Standard [BS-12-1996] and American Standard Testing Method [ASTM-C-150Type-I]. It is manufactured from Portland Cement Clinker and Gypsum.

USE

Falcon Brand Ordinary Port land Cement is used in all general construction specially in major prestigious projects where cement is to meet stringent quality requirements. It can be used in concrete, mortars and grouts etc. Ordinary portland cement is compatible / consumable with admixture / retarders etc.

Sulphate Resistant Cement (SRC):

Complies not only Pakistan Standard [PS - 612/1989 (R)] but also surpasses the British Standard [BS-4027-1980] and American Standard Testing Method ( ASTM C-150 Type-V ). It is manufactured from SR Clinker and Gypsum.

USE

Falcon Brand Sulphate Resistant Cement is specially used in Sea and Coastal areas. Greater resistance to chemical attack from sulphates and dissolved salts present in sea and saline waters.

Portland Blast Furnace Slag Cement (PBFSC):

Complies not only Pakistan Standard [PS 1631 / 1984] but also surpasses the British Standard [BS-146-1973]. It is manufactured from Portland Cement Clinker, Blast Furnace Slag and Gypsum.

USE

Falcon Brand port land Blast Furnace Slag Cement is used in Coastal Areas due to resistance to Sulphate and Alkalies attack. PBFSC is used in massive constructions like dams / canals due to its inherent quality of low heat of hydration.

Falcon Cement Quality:

Falcon Cement has a pleasant greenish colour. It sets easily and develops quick strength, which is the basic requirement of the concrete block making industry. The quality of cement is determined by two major factors i.e. strength and soundness. It can be said with pride that the Cement produced by ACPL conforms to highest quality standards. The statutory requirement is that the Cement should conform to the Pakistan and British Standards; however, Falcon Cement not only conforms but also surpasses the Pakistani and British Standards by a fair margin. It also generally conforms to the American Standard. At present the company produces cement, which meets the requirements of BS-12-1996, which is an established standard in the mature markets of the region. The colour and quality of the cement is responsible for it popularity in the area and for this reason it sells at a premium as compared with other brands produced in and around Karachi . Beside this the Company has also obtained certifications from Bureau of Indian Standards and Sir Lanka Standard Institution making it eligible to market its products in the markets of India and Sri Lanka.
